Meet Hannah
I am honored to be chosen as a member of your team on the road to health and wellbeing. I value the opportunity to create an environment where you can breathe, connect with safety, and engage in a therapeutic relationship as you journey toward greater self-knowledge and freedom.
I desire to meet you at the core of your need--healing in body, mind, and soul, and reconnection with hope, confidence, and stability. With additional training in Somatic Experiencing, a body-focused trauma counseling approach, I understand the importance of treating the whole person. I believe that beyond a list of symptoms exists a root network of wounds and hurts--from broken relationships and unmet needs for nurture and connection to injustice and inequity, physical dysregulation, and trauma.
I also believe that there exists in every person the capacity and bodily intelligence to release the effects of trauma, restore regulation to their mind and body, find connection and healing, and reach new levels of life and wholeness. My goal is to guide clients to access and live into these resources through compassionate, unrushed care--empowering them to rest, integrate their experiences, discover new insights, and restore health, joy, and purpose.
I graduated from Cornerstone University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My experience includes working with adults and couples, and I specialize in grief and trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, career and life transitions, culture shock and acclimation, and spirituality.
Outside of my work at Embrace, I love finding rest, play, and connection in the many beautiful parks and trails Michigan has to offer, alongside my husband, our son, family and friends.
